Labour Compliance The Labour Department, West Bengal on July 01, 2024, notified regarding the modification in the working hours of the employees employed in the IT Sector.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that employees in the IT sector establishments shall not be allowed to work more than 9 hours in a single day or exceed 48 hours in a week.

• This shall be effective from July 1, 2024.
