Industry Specific ComplianceThe Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on September 05, 2024, notified regarding the Launch of Electronic Personnel License (EPL)- Flight Crew.

The DGCA Plans to introduce the Electronic Personnel License (EPL) for Flight Crew in alignment with ICAO Standards and specifications. This initiative will be rolled out in a phased manner to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of flight crew licenses. In the first phase, the EPL is applicable to Commercial Pilot Licenses (CPL) and Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s Licenses (FRTOL) (issued after the launch date). The Existing Hard copy (Booklet/Card) licenses and those licenses not covered in the first phase will continue to be in the existing form i.e. Hard Copy until the EPL service becomes available to them in subsequent phases.

To facilitate the EPL launch, a draft Flight Crew Licensing Circular has been attached to this public notice. Stakeholders are invited to provide their comments/feedback within 7 days from the date of this notice.
