The Government of Tamil Nadu on September 09, 2024, declared a Public Holiday on account of Milad-un-Nabi under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
Chief Kazi to the Government of Tamil Nadu has stated that the moon was not sighted on September 04, 2024, and that the Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated on September 17, 2024 (Tuesday) and requested to declare the public holiday on September 17, 2024, instead of September 16, 2024.
The Government, after careful consideration of the request of the Chief Kazi to the Government of Tamil Nadu, decided to declare September 17, 2024 (Tuesday) as a Public Holiday on account of Milad-un-Nabi instead of September 16, 2024, under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
