The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) on September 05, 2024, issued an SOP for the Registration of Real Estate Projects.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It requires promoters to submit comprehensive information regarding project finance or credit facilities as part of the registration application.
• It states that the application for registration of real estate projects should be submitted online only using the application form provided on the Promoter Dashboard.
• It states that architects shall provide project details, and technical professionals' names, and ensure compliance with RERA regulations.
• It states that the promoter shall pay the requisite registration fees based on the project type and land area, using online payment gateways. The fee structure is as follows: for residential development, it is Rs. 10 per sq. mt. for up to 1,000 sq. mts and Rs. 500 per 100 sq. mts for areas exceeding 1,000 sq. mts; for commercial development, it is Rs. 20 per sq. mt. for up to 1,000 sq. mts and Rs. 1,000 per 100 sq. mts for larger areas.
• It states that U.P. RERA shall evaluate applications within seven days of complete submission and fee payment, issue notices for objections, and make a final decision on approval or rejection based on resolved issues and potential hearings.
