The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Goa & Union Territories(JERC) on September 11, 2024, notified the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Goa & Union Territories (Solar PV Grid Interactive System based on Net Metering & Gross Metering) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2024 further to amend the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Goa & Union Territories (Solar PV Grid Interactive System based on Net Metering) Regulations, 2019.
The following has been stated: -
•Regulation 2.1 (9) shall be substituted as under:
Consumer means any person who is supplied with electricity for his use by a licensee or the Government or by any other person engaged in the business of supplying electricity to the public under this Act or any other law for the time being in force and includes any person whose premises are for the time being connected to receive electricity with the works of a licensee, the Government or such other person, as the case may be.
• The following shall be inserted after Regulation 2.1 (13):
(13) (a) Days means clear working days.
• The following shall be inserted after Regulation 2.1 (25):
(25)(a) Occupier means the owner, tenant, or person in occupation of the premises where electricity is used or proposed to be used.
These Regulations shall come into force from September 12, 2024.
