The Labour and Skills Department, Kerala on September 03, 2024, issued the Draft Kerala Factories (Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the Kerala Factories Rules, 1957.
The following has been amended namely: -
• Rule 7 which states “Renewal of license” sub-rule (5) has been substituted to state: -
“Every licence renewed under this Rule shall remain in force up to 31st December of the year(s) for which the licence is renewed:
Provided that the Chief Inspector or the Competent Authority may renew the licence for more than one year not exceeding ten years at a stretch if an application is so made along with chalan receipt towards the payment of the required fee in lumpsum”
Objections/suggestions must be sent within 45 days from September 03, 2024, to Secretary to Government, Labour and Skills (B) Department, Government Secretariat, Thiruvananthapuram
