Secretarial ComplianceThe Securities and Exchange Board of India, (SEBI) on September 13, 2024, issued Optional mechanism for fee collection by SEBI registered Investment Advisers (IAs) and Research Analysts (RAs).

Following public consultation and discussions with various stakeholders, the "Centralized Fee Collection Mechanism for Investment Advisers (IA) and Research Analysts (RA)" (CeFCoM) is being implemented. This system will enable clients to pay fees to registered IAs and RAs via a designated platform or portal managed by a recognized Administration and Supervisory Body (ASB).

The mechanism has been developed in collaboration with BSE Limited and various stakeholders. BSE Limited will establish the operational framework by September 23, 2024, and the system will become active from October 1, 2024. Although participation is optional, ASB will encourage both IAs/RAs and their clients to use this platform to ensure ease of fee collection and promote investor security.
