Labour ComplianceThe Industries, Energy, Labour, and Mining Department, Maharashtra on September 11, 2024, issued a draft notification regarding the revision of the minimum rates of wages payable to the employees employed in hair-cutting saloons, hairdressing saloons, or hammam khana.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Advisory Board has revised the basic minimum wages for employees in scheduled employment, with new monthly rates specified for skilled, semi-skilled, and un-skilled workers across three zones. 

• All persons likely to be affected shall submit their comments and suggestions on or before November 11, 2024, by post to “Commissioner of Labour, ‘Kamgar Bhavan’, C-20, ‘E’ Block, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai 400051”.
