The Finance Department of Rajasthan on September 12, 2024, issued a notification regarding the amendment in House Rent Allowance Rules, 1989.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Rule 6 which states "Regulation of House Allowance in different circumstances", clause (a) along with notes (1), (2), (3), and (4) shall be substituted.
• The amendment clause (a) states that a government servant is entitled to draw House Rent Allowance (HRA) during leave or temporary transfer at the same rate as before, with limits of 120 days (180 days for maternity leave) and 240 days for medical conditions like T.B., Cancer, Leprosy, or Mental disease, with temporary transfers defined as periods not exceeding four months.
