The Industries, Energy, Labour, and Mining Department, Maharashtra on September 11, 2024, issued a draft notification regarding the revision of the minimum rates of wages payable to the employees employed in the scheduled employment, viz. Employment in the laundry industry.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Advisory Board has revised the basic minimum wages for employees in scheduled employment, with new monthly rates specified for skilled, semi-skilled, and un-skilled workers across three zones.
• All persons likely to be affected shall submit their comments and suggestions on or before November 11, 2024, by post to “Commissioner of Labour, ‘Kamgar Bhavan’, C-20, ‘E’ Block, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai 400051”.
