The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on September 13, 2024, issued a notification regarding the manufacturing of Rectified Spirit (RS) and Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) by diversion of Sugarcane Juice/B-Heavy molasses.
The following has been stated: -
•With reference to Directorate order No 3(2)/2023-SP dated December 15, 2023, regarding the use no of sugarcane juice/ B-heavy molasses for the manufacture of RS and ENA it has been stated that sugar mills and distilleries are allowed to manufacture RS and ENA from sugarcane juice and B-Heavy Molasses.
