The Transport Department of Bihar on September 11, 2024, notified regarding the exemption from the penalty on tax payment by default vehicles.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The state government exempts penalty and interest on lump sum toll/green tax payments for various vehicles, including unregistered ones (except BS-IV).
• It waives penalties for vehicle dealers on due trade tax and temporary registration fees, effective until March 31, 2025.
• This shall come into effect from September 16, 2024.
