The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on September 16, 2024, notified regarding the changes in the Securities Transaction Tax rate STT with effect October 01, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• This is in reference to Exchange Notice No 20240429-7 dated April 29, 2024, regarding Master Circular Finance and Accounts March 31, 2024.
• It provides the revised STT rates for taxable securities transactions as amended by Finance Act (No. 2) 2024, with effect from October 01, 2024:
o Sale of an option in securities - 0.10% (upto 30th September 2024 - 0.0625%) and
o Sale of futures in securities - 0.02% (upto 30th September 2024 – 0.0125%)
