Labour ComplianceThe Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism, Andaman & Nicobar Administration (DIPR) on September 16, 2024, issued a circular declaring September 29, 2024, as a dry day on account of bye-elections for gram panchayat ward members.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that on account of Bye-Election for the Gram Panchayat Ward Member Mannarghat-1 of Mannarghat Constituency under Ferrargunj Tehsil and Gram Panchayat Ward Member Ramakrishnapur of Ramakrishnapur Constituency under Little Andaman Tehsil, September 29, 2024, and October 01, 2024, shall be observed "Dry Day".

• This shall be applicable to IMFL vending licenses i.e. ANIIDCO, CSD Canteen, all defense canteen, police mess, and all private bar licensees.
