The Industries, Energy, Labour and Mining Department, Maharashtra on September 11, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Draft notification regarding the revised minimum rates of wages payable to the employees employed in the cement and cement-based Industry.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Zone-based Basic Minimum rates of wages for Skilled, Semi-skilled, Un-skilled Class of Employees have been stated in the notification.
• The minimum rates of daily wages payable to an employee employed on daily wages shall be computed by dividing the minimum rates of monthly wages fixed for the class of employees to which he belongs by twenty-six, the quotient being stepped up to the nearest paisa
• The minimum rates of wages shall consist of basic rates, the Cost of Living Allowance, the cash value of concessions, if any
• The minimum rates of wages shall be inclusive of payment of remuneration in respect of weekly day of rest
Comments/Suggestions may be sent within 2 months from September 11, 2024, to the Commissioner of Labour, ‘Kamgar Bhavan.
