The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on September 17, 2024, issued a circular regarding the separate monthly invoices for DP charges, CISA overdue Charges and monetary penalty.
The CISA overdue charges and the Monetary Penalty are charged as a part of monthly invoice raised for the Depository Participants (DP) under a single invoice till billing month August 2024. To segregate the invoice amount and its receipts / payments, with effect from transactions affected in August 2024 (billing month September 2024), the Monthly Invoice for, CISA Overdue charges and Monetary penalty have been excluded from monthly DP charges invoice and separate invoices are raised.
Further, the invoice for CISA overdue charges have already been uploaded separately in the billing folder on September 13, 2024. You are advised to download the same and make the payment separately as the same would be reconciled separately in our systems. The payment needs to be strictly made as per our bank details provided in the respective invoice raised for the CISA Overdue Charges.
It may also be noted that while the DP monthly billing invoice and CISA overdue charges invoice would be raised at the same time during the 1st week of the subsequent month (for the transactions done for the previous month), the Monetary Penalty would be raised as and when the penalty is levied. Moreover, all the above mentioned three invoices (Monthly DP charges, CISA Overdue charges & Monetary Penalty) will be uploaded only in the billing folder and the intimation of the same will be intimated to the DPs.
