The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on September 13, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Premature redemption under Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) Scheme - Redemption Price for premature redemption due on September 17, 2024 (Series IV of SGB 2016-17).
The following has been stated namely: -
• The next due date of premature redemption shall be September 17, 2024.
• The redemption price of SGB shall be based on the simple average closing gold price of 999 purity of the week.
• The redemption price for premature redemption due shall be ₹ 7196/- per unit of SGB based on the simple average of closing gold price for the week i.e., September 09 – September 13, 2024.
