The Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers (MoC&F) on September 17, 2024, issued a corrigendum regarding guidelines for the Scheme "Strengthening of Pharmaceuticals Industry" (SPI) - Notification of the modification in the clauses under the scheme "Revamped Pharmaceutical Technology Upgradation Assistance Scheme" (RPTUAS).
The following has been stated: -
•Pharmaceutical units with the given average turnover criterion for the last three years will be eligible for incentive subject to a maximum of Rs. 2.00 crore.
•Pharma units will apply online in the prescribed proforma for shortlisting under the scheme with a gap analysis of the existing manufacturing unit.
•The SSC will consider the recommendation of the PMC regarding the subsidy amount for each applicant and 50% of the eligible amount (subject to an upper limit of Rs. 1.00 crore) will be released as 1st installment within 30 days of obtaining the requisite documents.
