The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on September 20, 2024, notified regarding the Security Council 1718 Sanctions Committee amends one entry in its sanctions list.
The following has been stated namely: -
• DPs are advised to ensure compliance by scanning all existing accounts to confirm that none are held by or linked to entities or individuals on the prohibited list, and to apply the same checks for future accounts, as per the SEBI Circular dated April 26, 2023, regarding the implementation of Section 12A of the Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Act, 2005.
