The Government of Karnataka on September 20, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Karnataka Daily Wages Welfare Development Act, 2012 for sanction of financial facilities to eligible daily waged employees as per revised pay scales 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•The facilities that have been sanctioned to eligible daily wage workers notified under the Karnataka Daily Wages Welfare Development Act, 2012 with effect from September 01, 2024, are as follows: -
(i)As per the revised pay scales of 2024, they shall be fixed the minimum pay of the time scale of the post in which they have been continued in service.
(ii)90 percent of the gratuity granted to the State Government employees from time to time shall be sanctioned as a gratuity to the eligible daily wage workers on the minimum pay of the scale of pay of the post in which they were advanced.
(iii)90 percent of the normal rates of house rent allowance applicable to the place of duty to the State Government employees from time to time, shall be sanctioned as house rent allowance to eligible daily wage employees on the minimum pay in the scale of pay of the post in which they are advanced.
