The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on September 23, 2024, issued a circular regarding the UNSC Press Release and Sanction List.
The following has been stated: -
•The circular informs MCX members about the updated UNSC sanctions list to prevent transactions with designated individuals/entities.
•Action Required:
(i)Follow Procedure: Adhere to the Ministry of Finance Order F.No. P12011/14/2022-ES Cell-DOR, dated January 30, 2023, for implementing Section 12A of the Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Act, 2005.
(ii)Account Verification: Scan existing and future accounts to ensure no links to sanctioned entities or individuals.
