The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on September 23, 2024, issued the date of establishment and withdrawal of certain Indian Standards.
The following IS shall be established on September 06, 2024, namely: -
- IS 7398 : 2024 Farabeuf Pattern Bone Holding Forceps — Specification (First Revision)
- IS 7819 : 2024 Nylon-Headed Orthopaedic Mallet — Specification (First Revision)
- IS 12304 : 2024 Plastic Cervical Collar — Specification (First Revision)
- IS 8332 : 2024 Gigli Saw Handle — Specification (First Revision)
The following IS shall be withdrawn on March 06, 2025, namely: -
- IS 7398 – 1974 Specification for Forceps, Bone Holding, Farabeuf’s Pattern
- IS 7819 – 1975 Specification for Mallet, Nylon Headed, Orthopaedic
- IS 8332 – 1977 Specification for Handle, Saw, Gigli
- IS 12304 – 1987 Specification for Plastic Cervical Collar
