The Government of Tamil Nadu on January 25, 2024, notified regarding the amendment in an older Notification No.II(1)/PE/239(d)/81, dated May 01, 1981, related to the Prohibition and Excise Department.
The following has been stated: -
• In the TABLE, in the Annexure, under the entry "Indian Made Foreign Spirits (brand names of which are specified in the Annexure) other than sacramental wine" in column (1), under the heading
o "PREMIUM BRANDS', under the sub-heading "Tvl. KALS Beverages Private Limited", the entries "Courrier Nepoleon Ultra French Brandy" and "TI's Mansion House Ultra French Brandy" shall be omitted.
o "ORDINARY BRANDS", under the sub-heading "Tvl. SNJ Distillers Private Limited, the entry "Top Star Strong XXX Rum" shall be omitted.
