Finance & Taxation Compliance The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on September 20, 2024, issued an amendment in Chapter 5 of the Handbook of Procedures (HBP) 2023, related to EPCG Scheme to reduce 'Compliance Burden' and enhance 'Ease of doing Business.

The following has been stated:

• To enhance ease of doing business and reduce the compliance burden, provision of Chapter 5 related to the Export Promotion Capital Goods Scheme of the HBP, 2023 is amended for EPC authorizations issued under foreign Trade Policy.
