The Government of Himachal Pradesh on September 27, 2024, notified the Draft Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning (Thirteenth Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Rules, 2014.
Objections or suggestions if any may be sent within thirty days of publication of this notification.
The following has been stated-
- In Appendix-1 of the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Rules, 2014 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘said rules’) after serial number II table the II (a) Special Commercial Buildings serial number shall be added.
- After regulation 4, the following Regulation shall be added, namely:- “5. Hostels/Dormitory:- Notwithstanding anything contained any Development Plan/ Interim Development Plan for the time being in force, as applicable in respect of any planning or special area notified under the statutory provisions of the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Act, 1977 construction of Hostels/dormitory facilities in the Industrial Zone shall be allowed and regulations of the same shall be as per the regulations of the concerned Interim Development Plan and Development Plans.”
