Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on September 30, 2024, notified regarding the extension of the timeline for registration of Unregistered Entities providing M2M services and/or WLAN/WPAN connectivity for M2M Services.

A representation has been received from COAI seeking further extension of the timeline. Following a thorough examination of the representation received from COAI, it has been decided to extend the timeline further for registration of entities currently providing M2M Services and/or WPAN/WLAN Connectivity for M2M Services up to November 15, 2024.

Further, Authorized Telecom Licensee(s) are hereby directed to –

• Suspend the services of M2M SIMs for M2M Services/Connectivity, issued to the unregistered entities post 15.11.24. The services may be resumed post-submission of the Registration Certificate by the entities.

• Share the contact details (e-mail ID and Contact No.) of the unregistered entities (including Government Agencies), with DoT (at [email protected]) within 7 days of issuance of this letter.
