The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on September 30, 2024, issued the Warehousing Corporations and the Central Warehousing Corporation (Transfer of Undertaking) Bill, (2024).
The Ministry issued the Bill to provide for the incorporation and regulation of Corporations for the warehousing of agricultural produce and certain other commodities and matters connected therewith and to provide for the transfer and vesting of the Undertaking of the Central Warehousing Corporation to and in the company to be formed and registered as a company under the Companies Act, 2013, and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
