The Government of West Bengal on September 20, 2024, issued a notification regarding guidelines on transfer of ownership and change of address of the existing Auto Emission Testing Centres.
The following has been stated: -
•The guidelines on transfer of ownership and change of address of the existing Auto Emission Testing Centres (AETCs) as stated below will come into force with immediate effect.
•Procedure for Transfer of Ownership of AETCS:
Application has to be submitted by the applicant [legal heir(s)/nominated person(s)) before the licensing authority along with the following documents for the transfer of ownership of existing AETC:
1. Licence in the name of the deceased to run the AETC along with the cancellation prayer for the same
2.Legal heir certificate (if the applicant(s) is/are legal heir(s) of the licence-holder
3. Affidavit of nomination by the license-holder [if the applicant(s) is/are the nominated person(s))
4. Documents regarding bankruptcy from the competent authority/ incapacitation certificate from a Government Hospital (if the license-holder becomes financially or physically incapacitated)
