The Labour and Skills (B) Department, Kerala on September 28, 2024, notified Kerala Factories (Amendment) Rules, 2024 further to amend the Kerala Factories Rules, 1957.
The following has been stated: -
•In sub-rule (3) of rule 8, for the word, figure, and symbol "Appendix II.", the word, figure, and symbol "Appendix III:" shall be substituted.
•After the word, figure, and symbol as so substituted, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
Provided that, no fee for transfer of license shall be levied except the amendment fee where a factory is closed and is taken over by another factory due to the reason of financial crisis, insufficiency of raw materials, non-profitable due to unsold products, shortage of laborers, industrial dispute, environmental issues duly certified by a competent authority.
They shall come into force at once.
