The Government of Rajasthan on October 01, 2024, prohibited the movement of horses, donkeys, mules, to control and eradicate Glanders disease.
The following has been stated:
• It has declared the entire area of Tehsil Churu of the District Churu as Controlled Area for equine species of animals to prevent, control and eradicate Glanders disease and prohibits the movement of horses, donkeys, mules and other animals belonging to equine species from the place where they are kept in any area of the said Tehsil Churu of the District Churu to any other place within or outside the State and also prohibits the holding of races, fair, exhibition, games and gathering of such animals in the Tehsil Churu of the District Churu.
