EHS ComplianceThe Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) on September 26, 2024, notified regarding the extension of the Amnesty Scheme for penal fees for violating the combined consent regime prescribed under the Air/Water Act.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The Amnesty Scheme for penal fees for violating the combined consent regime prescribed under the Air/ Water Act has been extended for a further 3 month period i.e., from September 01, 2024, up to December 31, 2024.

• It states that the duration of the scheme will not be extended. The earlier penal fees circular dated July 12, 2022, will come into force automatically after the end the of amnesty period.
