The Government of Jharkhand on September 26, 2024, notified Jharkhand Excise (Country Liquor Manufacturing, Bottling and Storage) (Amendment) Rules, 2024 further to amend the Jharkhand Excise (Country Liquor Manufacturing, Bottling and Storage) Rules, 2018.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 21(3), 23(4), 28, 35, 42 and 43(6) shall be substituted.
•Rule 21 (3) specifies quality.
•Rule 23(4) specifies The licensee of the country liquor bottling plant or any authorized representative on behalf of the country liquor bottling plant shall draw two samples of 750ml, 600ml, 375ml, 300ml, 200ml & 180ml each of every batch after the process of reduction, blending, etc.
•Rule 28 specifies the Kind of Country liquor to be manufactured.
They shall come into force from October 04, 2024.
