The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on October 04, 2024, notified regarding the directions by the Commission to the Power Exchanges registered under the CERC (Power Market) Regulations, 2021.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Commission proposes directions for Contingency contracts and changes to the Term-Ahead Market (TAM) contracts based on their performance and it has proposed to introduce certain changes in the operative part of Term-Ahead Market (TAM) contracts.
• The changes have been proposed in the draft order in Suo-Motu petition no. 8/SM/2024 (attached below).
• The stakeholders, including power exchanges and interested persons shall submit their comments, suggestions, and objections, if any, to the Secretary, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, 7th Floor, Tower B, World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi110029 or may be mailed to [email protected] and [email protected] on or before November 04, 2024.
