The Government of Tamil Nadu on October 02, 2024, revised the minimum rates of wages for employment in any Oil Mill.
The minimum basic wages for common categories of employees in any Oil Mill are:
• For staff: Clerk, Time-Keeper, Cashier, and Typist ₹7584, Peon ₹7382, Office Boy ₹7149, and Watchman ₹7481 per month.
• For skilled employees: Electrician, Engine Driver/Operator, and Expeller Maistry/Supervisor ₹291, Carpenter/Blacksmith ₹288, Fitter/Mechanic ₹286, Boiler Man ₹288, and Rotary Man ₹286, Pint Man ₹286 per day per day
• For unskilled employees: Sweeper, Cake Carrier, and Mazdoor ₹269, Decorticator ₹277, Winnower, Expeller Attender, Oil Packer, and Boiler Attender ₹279 per day.
