The India International Exchange (INX) on October 04, 2024, notified regarding the revision in contract specifications of SENSEX derivatives contracts in the equity derivatives segment.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the expiry day for monthly long-dated futures and options contracts is revised from Thursday to Friday, with the provision that if it falls on a trading holiday, the expiry will be on the previous trading day.
• It states that existing October monthly contracts of SENSEX will expire on October 25, 2024, and will not be available for trading from October 28, 2024, while new monthly contracts with Friday expiry will be generated on October 25, 2024, and available for trading from October 28, 2024.
• This shall come into effect from Monday, October 21, 2024.
