The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) on September 19, 2024, issued the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Goa and Union Territories (Connectivity and Open Access in Intra-State Transmission and Distribution) (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2024, to further amend the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Goa and Union Territories (Connectivity and Open Access in Intra-State Transmission and Distribution) Regulations, 2017.
These Regulations shall extend to the State of Goa and the Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Puducherry and Chandigarh.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In Regulation 1.2(7) and its proviso, “/Long-term Green Energy Open Access” shall be added after “Long-term Open Access”, “/Medium-term Green Energy Open Access” shall be added after “Medium-term Open Access” and “/Short-term Green Energy Open Access” shall be added after “Short-term Open Access”.
• In Regulation 1.2(8) “/Green Energy Open Access” shall be added after “Open Access”.
• The Heading of Chapter-2, which states “General Conditions for Open Access” shall be substituted as under:
“General Conditions for Open Access/Green Energy Open Access”
This Notification will come into force from September 19, 2024.
