Industry Specific ComplianceThe International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on October 04, 2024, notified the Guidelines for utilisation of office space or manpower or both by Finance Company(ies)/ Unit(s) undertaking ship leasing activity in the International Financial Services Centre.

The following has been stated-

An applicant entity seeking to share office space or manpower resources with another entity intending to register for ship leasing activity must meet specific eligibility criteria. The proposed entity must be a "group entity" of the applicant or its parent, and the application, including a one-time fee of USD 2500, must be submitted before the proposed entity’s incorporation.

The proposed entity must be incorporated and apply for registration as a ship lessor within six months from receiving the approval. The approval remains valid for this period to ensure compliance.
