The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on October 04, 2024, issued the Draft Directions by the Commission to the Power Exchanges registered under the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Power Market) Regulations, 2021.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In light of the performance of the Contingency contracts over the years and with the introduction of other competing market segments, the Commission has proposed certain directions with regard to the Contingency contracts. Further, the Commission has proposed to introduce certain changes in the operative part of Term-Ahead Market (TAM) contracts.
• Comments and Suggestions shall be sent to Secretary, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission or may be mailed to [email protected] and [email protected] on by November 04, 2024.
