The Government of Tamil Nadu on September 11, 2024, issued a notification regarding the revision of minimum rates of wages for Employment in Shops and Commercial Establishments under the Minimum Wages Act.
The following has been stated: -
•The Governor of Tamil Nadu has revised the minimum wages for employees in shops and commercial establishments, following the Minimum Wages Act, of 1948. This decision supersedes a previous notification from March 5, 2019, and comes after consulting the Advisory Board. The updated wage rates are outlined in the schedule provided in the document below.
This notification shall come into force from September 11, 2024.
