The Government of Maharashtra on October 09, 2024, notified regarding easy and regular availability of secondary minerals for the work of National Highways.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It aims to streamline the process for contractors to obtain permissions for excavation and transportation of these minerals.
• It streamlines procedures for obtaining permissions for the excavation and transportation of minor minerals, and penalties for unauthorized excavation.
• It specifies that the amount of ownership should be reported to the government within 30 days from the work.
