Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE) on October 09, 2024, notified regarding the Direct payout of securities to client demat account – Go live date.

It outlines the implementation of the "Direct payout of securities to client demat account" functionality effective from October 11, 2024. For different market types such as Normal (T+1), Trade for Trade (T+1), and ITP (T+1), the settlement details are provided for trade date October 11, 2024, and settlement date October 14, 2024.

For auction shortages, the payout will be credited to members' pools as per the existing process. Additionally, unpaid/MTF reporting, internal shortage reporting, and auction for internal shortages are to follow the specified timelines and procedures, including uploading files from October 10, 2024, and conducting internal auctions based on the settlement price with a 20% markup. In cases of upload errors or unsuccessful auctions, exchange guidelines will apply for closing out shortages. Relevant file formats and reports are provided in the annexures for member reference.
