The Government of West Bengal on September 30, 2024, notified regarding the issuance of a transit pass for intra-state movement of round timber and sawn timber.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that both online (NTPS) and offline (manual) systems for issuing Transit Passes for intra-state timber movement shall be available until 31st December 2024.
• Inter-state transport of the round timber and sawn timber from West Bengal, Transit Pass (TP), and NOC generated through the National Transit Pass System (NTPS), shall continue to be compulsory.
