The UT Administrator of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu on September 13, 2024, notified regarding the Pension Scheme for widows, senior citizens, and Divyangjan.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It specifies the “Pension Scheme to Widow”, “Pension Scheme to Old Age Persons (Senior Citizen)”, and “Pension Scheme to Disabled Persons” (Divyangjan) to provide financial benefits which are being implemented through Municipal Councils and District Panchayats of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
• It mandates that individuals shall provide an Aadhaar number or undergo authentication to receive benefits under the scheme, requiring those without Aadhaar to enroll at designated centers, with additional facilities provided by the department in areas lacking enrollment centers.
