Commercial ComplianceThe Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on October 13, 2024, notified regarding the amendment in the import policy of parts of lighter covered under CTH 9613 of Chapter 96 of the Schedule -I (Import Policy) of ITC (HS) 2022.

It states that the imports of parts of pocket lighters, gas-fuelled, non-refillable, or refillable lighters (cigarette lighters) under HS Code 96139000 shall be restricted with immediate effect.
