The Goods and Services Network (GSTN) on October 14, 2024, issued an advisory on IMS.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that the Invoice Management System (IMS) shall be available for taxpayers starting October 14, 2024, enabling them to match their invoices for accurate Input Tax Credit (ITC). 

• It further states that the first GSTR-2B shall be generated on November 14, 2024, based on actions taken in IMS, taking action on invoices is not mandatory for GSTR-2B generation.
