The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) on October 09, 2024, issued the Draft Central Electricity Authority (Procedure for Transaction of Business) (1st Amendment) Regulations, 2024 to further amend the Central Electricity Authority (Procedure for Transaction of Business) Regulations, 2006.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Regulation 12 which states “Quorum” the following shall be substituted, namely: -
“12 (1) The quorum for the meeting shall be half of appointed Members (including Chairperson), with minimum of three Members. If any fraction that might arise, then the upper number shall be considered. If the Chairperson is unable to attend the meeting for any reason, the Members present shall choose one from among the full time members to preside over the meeting”
