Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Ministry of Finance (MoF) on October 15, 2024m issued the Income-tax Amendment (Seventh Amendment) Rules, 2024, to further amend the Income Tax Rules, 1962.

This shall come into force on October 01, 2024.

The following has been stated namely: -

• In Form No. 10A and 10AB, in the heading, the figure, letter, and word “2C or” shall be omitted.

• In Form No. 10A, under the heading “Notes to fill Form No 10A” – serial number 2 shall be substituted with “2. Application for registration under section 12A/80G selects one of the following codes in row 2:”

• In Form No. 10AB, under the heading “Notes to fill Form No. 10AB”, in serial number 2, in the table, the numbers 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 12A, 12B, 12C, 12D and the entries relating thereto, shall be omitted.
