The Government of Gujarat on October 08, 2024, notified regarding the amendment in an older notification of Ports and Transport Department No.PT/2009/23/MVD/102007/685/Part-1/KH, dated June 20, 2009, concerning the registration of motor vehicles.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In the Schedule, the para beginning with the words “Motor Vehicles registration in any other State” and ending with the words “opting for the lump sum tax” shall be substituted, the amended para states that Motor vehicles registered in other states and brought into Gujarat after April 1, 2007, or those opting for lump sum tax in Gujarat are subject to provisions in GSR 879(E) from December 14, 2022, by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, as amended.
