The CSIR-National Physical Laboratory on July 15, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Provisional certification of low volume manual PM2.5 Samplers with minimum acceptability criteria.
The following has been stated namely: -
• CSIR-NPL & CPCB discussed about the issuance of provisional certificate of low volume manual PM2.5 samplers with minimum acceptability criteria after testing of following critical parameters namely: -
• Cut point
a. D50 cut-off size of impactor/cyclone
b. Sharpness of the penetration efficiency curve.
• Size Selective Inlet Type
• Height of the Inlet
• Time Totalizer
• Flow rate
• Temperature sensor
• Humidity sensor
• Pressure sensor
