The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on October 15, 2024, notified regarding the mandatory use of test report formats as per Food Safety and Standards Rules, 2011, and amendments thereof and Food Safety and Standards (Import) Regulation, 2017 with NABL Symbol.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the notified laboratory or referral laboratory for the imported food shall provide the laboratory analysis report in FORM - 2 as per the Food Safety and Standards (Import) Regulation, 2017.
• It further states that laboratories shall use the NABL symbol following the guidelines specified in NABL 133 (“Policy for Use of NABL Symbol and/or Claim of Accreditation”) in the test report for tests that are covered under their scope of accreditation.
• It also provides "Form VII A - report of the Food Analyst", "Form XI - Certificate of Analysis by the Referral Food Laboratory", and "Form 2 - Report of Laboratory Analysis".
